Rihanna has been running around the world, turning up late for gigs, getting back and then splitting from former fella Chris Brown.

However, Jay-Z, who has worked with RiRi on several songs over the years, says it’s not his place to interfere in her life.

"That’s not my place . . . I can’t control the outcome of her life," he told US radio station Hot97. "I can’t intervene, I can give advice when asked and that’s it. I can provide information and then life has to play out, life has to happen."

The rap mogul, who has just released his new album Magna Carta . . . Holy Grail, also revealed that he and President Obama have a text relationship.

"I've spoken to him on the phone and had texts from Obama. Of course, he's a regular guy as well. He's very heavy into sports so a lot of his analogies end up in sports."

I don't know if this is breaching national security but when he was getting elected the second time, he was like, 'Hey, you know, off-courter, just give me the ball.' I said, 'word,'"

In the interview, Jay-Z added that he and Beyonce's one-year-old daughter Blue Ivy has clocked up a lot of air miles since her arrival last year.

"She’s well-travelled, her passport is insane,’ he said. "She travels well too, she doesn’t get like fidgety, she’s very cool. It’s what she knows."
