Doctor Who fans have been asked to contribute memorabilia to a special exhibition celebrating the sci-fi's show's 50th anniversary.

The display which will take place at the National Media Museum in Bradford, England, will focus on the relationship fans had with the popular cult series.

Curator Toni Booth has asked Doctor Who's loyal fans to lend official merchandise they have collected to the exhibition as well as their "more personal homemade objects".

She added: "We want to know why you have this object, when you got it, and your feelings towards Doctor Who then and now."

A 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who, featuring Matt Smith as the Time Lord, is set to air on 23 November (13).
