Johnny Depp has revealed how he took One Direction home with him after arranging for his daughter to meet the boy band on The Ellen Show

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel's chat show, Depp said that the boys asked him if they could come home with him to say hello to his family.

"My daughter is a great fan of One Direction and she asked could she go and see them on the Ellen Show or something like that," Depp said. "So I arranged for her to go and see them on the show and they wanted to come back to the house and say hi."

Depp, who had recorded a song with old pal Shane MacGowan for The Lone Ranger soundtrack, talked about his previous life as a rock star wannabe and revealed that his fellow bandmates threw him out of their shared house because "they didn't like me."
