RTÉ Ten's telly picks for Saturday, July 6th with Alan Corr

Micro Monsters with David Attenborough, Sky1, 8.00pm

Tonight, the living legend gets up close, real close, with some creepy crawlies and tackles the sensitive subject of sex among the insect world. Reproduction is, of course, everything but for the male orb weaver spider it really is a strange business - this little fella likes to creep up his chosen partner and tries to mate without her noticing (stop sniggering at the back). Interestingly, and none too surprisingly, good looks do count even here and it turns out that the lothario of the insect world is the butterfly. Fascinating stuff indeed and with this series, Mr. Attenborough answers one of the fundamental questions of life - does size really matter?

Saturday Night Movie: Die Hard 2, RTÉ Two, 9.00pm

It's not nearly as good as Die Hard (then again, what is?) but Bruce Willis was well on the way to confirming that he was a star with this second instalment of what is one of the best action franchises in movie history. The last time out, NYPD's finest John McClane kicked serious ass in a skyscraper, in this sequel he does the same thing at an airport where nefarious terrorists are threatening some serious air rage incidents.

Michael Bublé’s Day Off, 10.35pm, RTÉ One

His string of o2 gigs beckon and half the women in Ireland are going no doubt but tonight you can see Mickey Bubbles (for it is he!) kicking back in his hometown of Vancouver in this TV special. He spends time with his family and friends before heading off unannounced to his 20th High School Reunion. Bublé's all-time favourite movie is Ferris Bueller's Day Off and ahead of his upcoming world tour, he decides to spend a day hanging out doing his favourite things. He drops by to have a coffee with his 86-year-old grandpa, meets his friends at a local fast-food joint, and prepares lunch with his sisters. During the show he also gives exclusive performances of World on a String, Come Dance with Me, Young at Heart, and, of course, Home. And there he is, below) with the missus.
