CUCKOO, an online drama that was originally part of RTÉ’s renowned Storyland series, has been cboseb as an official selection at the Marseille Web Fest.
The festival takes place on October 4th and 5th this year in Marseille's Château de la Buzine and will be chaired by David Worthen, who is Vice-President of 20th Century Fox Digital.
CUCKOO will also screen at the inaugural Melbourne Web Fest on July 20th at Kindred Studios in Yarraville, Melbourne.
The short film recently became the first-ever Irish online drama nominee at the prestigious 17th Webby awards competing against Tom Hanks' Electric City.
CUCKOO was directed by Danann Breathnach and written by Nikki Racklin and Breathnach, from an original story by Racklin.
It was produced by Marie Caffrey of Zanzibar Films and stars Pagan McGrath as wild teenager Niamh Keegan, who recognises herself in a "digitally-aged" picture of a missing child. Also appearing are IFTA winner Denise McCormack (Love/Hate) and Brian Fortune (Games of Thrones).
