Netflix horror thriller Hemlock Grove has been renewed for a second season.
And it’s been announced that Charles H "Chic" Eglee - who previously worked on The Walking Dead - has joined the show as executive producer.
Hemlock Grove's renewal comes hot on the heels of the show’s debut season's success following its 13-episode debut in April.
"The worldwide fan response to Hemlock Grove was phenomenal," says the show's executive producer Eli Roth.
"Netflix members loved the potent combination of sexy monsters, mystery, and the dark family soap opera that ended with a huge twist, leaving audiences worldwide totally shocked.
"Season one was just a warm-up for what we have in store for season two. Get ready to be scared in ways you never expected."
The show is an adaptation of Brian McGreevy's novel of the same name that follows a set of unusual events in a small Pennsylvania town.
An unexpected friendship between a young heir and a newcomer to the town plays out at the centre of the horror story.
Hemlock Grove stars Famke Janssen, Dougray Scott and newcomer Penelope Mitchell.
Season two is expected to premiere in 2014. Production on the ten-episode run is expected to begin later this year.
