Troublemaker singer and Xtra Factor host Olly Murs has said that while he is sad to see Tulisa Contostavlos leaving the show, he just knows her replacement Sharon Osbourne will be "amazing."
Speaking about the new series, the 29-year-old host, who rose to fame after finishing as the runner-up in the sixth series of The X-Factor in 2009 said: "It's going to be a shame to see Tulisa go. People have got their opinions of Tulisa, but I got to know her really personally and she's such a lovely girl. I think she done really really well for the show.
"We all know Sharon's amazing. She's a bubbly character, she's just going to be feisty from day one til the end. She's brilliant!"
Murs also made comments about the rest of the panel, adding: "Nicole last year was a revelation, so fresh, so new. I love Gary, he's like a mentor to me."
The Dear Darlin singer, who is expected not to return to his Xtra Factor duties this season, further addressed rumours on Daybreak about joining the judging panel himself.
He joked: "People have spoken about it and tipped me to do it before. If Simon [Cowell] came to me and said, 'We want you to be a judge', I'd obviously have to sit and think about it. "But I think it would be nice for me, for a change, to just have a year away from The X Factor!
"It's all about my music and going forward. I've got a really exciting year ahead of me. Maybe I could squeeze on [the panel] next year if Simon lets me."
