Judy Garland's original costume as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz is on display in Ireland for a limited time.
The costume, which was made for the iconic 1939 film by renowned costumier, known simply as Adrian (born Adrian Adolph Greenberg), has recently arrived in Ireland.
The costume was sold by Julien’s Auctions for over $480,000 (€372,000) and thanks to the company’s co-owner, Athlone man, Martin Nolan, who sold the familiar outfit, it has landed here for a short spell.
The costume’s new buyer has generously lent the costume to the Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons for display until July 31, at which time it will join the collector’s private museum.
You don’t need to kill the Wicked Witch of the East or West or even click your heels three times, there really is no place like home as the museum is free and open seven days a week.
