Twilight leads Teen Choice Awards

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 has lead the nominations for this year's Teen Choice Awards.

The final instalment of the hugely popular vampire franchise, based on Stephenie Meyer's novels, received a total of seven nominations for the ceremony, including Choice Romance Movie, Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie, Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy for Robert Pattinson and Taylor Stewart and Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy for Kristen Stewart.

Closely following on its heels is Iron Man 3, which received six nominations, including two each for the film's stars Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Taylor Swift was honoured in three categories including Choice Female Artist, Choice Female Country Artist and Choice Smile.

Justin Bieber will battle it out with Bruno Mars, Phillip Phillips, Pitbull and Justin Timberlake to retain the Choice Male Artist accolade which he won last year.

The Choice Female Hottie nominations are Miley Cyrus, Megan Fox, Selena Gomez, Mila Kunis and Demi Lovato, while the Choice Male Hottie nods go to Justin Bieber, Liam Hemsworth, Taylor Lautner, Harry Styles and Channing Tatum.

The Teen Choice Awards take place on August 11.
