Marty Whelan reckons Ireland has a strong chance at the Eurovision Grand Final tonight.

Marty Whelan reveals what lies ahead at tonight's Eurovsion Grand Final, plus check out the pics of Ryan Dolan's dress rehearsal.

Speaking to RTÉ Ten from Malmo in Sweden about last night’s dress rehearsal, Eurovision expert and RTÉ Television commentator, Marty Whelan, said that Ryan Dolan “was perfection, as he has been throughout the competition”.

Marty reckons we are in a “good position” performing Only Love Survives last in the Grand Final this evening, and revealed that Ryan has had great support from Linda Martin who “will be in the arena tonight”.

Marty also said the entertainment factor has been ramped up for the final with “moustached girls, Greeks offering free drink, a fisherman's friend and a giant from Ukraine who defies gravity”.

The Lyric FM DJ and Winning Streak presenter will have his “bottle of Baileys” on hand as the 26 acts take to the stage and revealed that if Ireland wins, “you'll hear our roars of delight back in Ireland without the aid of a microphone”.

But does Marty reckon we have a chance? The answer is a most definite yes! He said: “We've a great chance along with Denmark and Georgia and... you just never know.”

You can watch all the Eurovsion fun from 8pm on RTÉ One.
