Coronation Street star Liz Dawn, who played Vera Duckworth on the popular soap, has said that she is "feeling better" after suffering a heart attack last week.
The 73-year-old actress is now recovering at home after being rushed to hospital with chest pains on April 29.
Speaking about her recovery, The Sun newspaper quotes Liz as saying: "Don't worry, I'm fine. I'm feeling better than I've felt for a long time."
Liz's husband Donald added: "She came out of hospital Friday night and she's fine. She's obviously having a lot of medication.
"All the time we were in Spain, she wasn't very well. We never went out of the apartment and stayed in all the time. We came back and she wasn't very well."
Dawn left Coronation Street six years ago due citing ill-health as the reason for her departure.
