It has been announced that the Spice Girls musical Viva Forever, which has been running in the West End in London, will end production next month.
The show was written by Jennifer Saunders and features all the songs from the pop group’s career. The Daily Mail reports that it will have recorded a loss of £5million when is closes at the end of June.
The Spice Girls reunited for the premiere of the show late last year which received negative reviews after its launch. The cast had been told it was extended until February of next year but got the news yesterday that it was to close after seven months.
There has been no official comment on the news from the Spice Girls or Jennifer Saunders.
