Glee star Cory Monteith has voluntarily checked himself into a rehabilitation centre to address substance addiction issues.
The 30-year-old actor, who plays Finn on the hit show, has previously admitted that he has struggled with substance abuse in the past.
A representative for the star, who is dating his Glee co-star Lea Michele, has confirmed he has entered a treatment facilty.
“Cory has voluntarily admitted himself to a treatment facility for substance addiction. He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery."
Speaking to People.com Michele said: "I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this. I am grateful and proud he made this decision."
Monteith has been open about his drink and drug habit in the past, revealing in 2011 that he had previously checked into rehab when he was 19-years-old.
