Ewan McGregor has been cast in the forthcoming mistaken-identity romantic comedy Born To Be King.
The screenplay has been written by The Thick of It actor Peter Capaldi, who will also direct.
Kate Hudson is in negotiations for the female lead, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The comedy revolves around a film extra (McGregor) who has an uncanny resemblance to a film star, and a Hollywood actress (Hudson) who clashes with her co-star and begins to fall for the extra.
Distributor Indomina's Stephanie Denton said: "Born to be King exemplifies the type of high-quality product Indomina aims to bring to the international marketplace.
"Peter's screenplay seamlessly weaves the story of the film within the film. It's an exciting, entertaining, and genuinely funny project. Ewan and Kate are the perfect on-screen pair to bring this story to life."
The project will begin shooting in January 2013.
