Courtney Cox also filed her own divorce papers on the same day as her husband David Arquette's divorce petition.
Arquette filed for divorce earlier this week in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.
Cox's filing, which surfaced the day after her ex's papers, cites the same reason for the split and requests the same custody arrangement. Both Cox and Arquette are seeking joint custody of their eight-year-old daughter Coco.
The actress's papers make no mention of a prenuptial agreement, with sources telling TMZ that the couple have no such arrangement.
If there is no prenuptial agreement, the couple must evenly divide what they earned during their 12 and a half year marriage.
Cox, who is also seeking to drop her married name Arquette, is representing herself without a lawyer, like her estranged husband.
