Selena Gomez has denied rumours that she has split with Justin Bieber over allegations that he fathered a child.
The host of tonight’s MTV Europe Music Awards was reported to have separated from the singer after Mariah Yeater filed a paternity lawsuit claiming that Bieber is the father of her infant son.
Reports in the US media suggested that Gomez "ended [the relationship] abruptly" on Friday (November 4), despite Bieber's denial of the accusations.
A representative for Gomez has told Us Weekly that the couple are still together, though speculation over the strength of their relationship has continued to linger.
"His camp is in damage control mode and attempting to convince her to stick around in the relationship for a few more weeks," the Daily Mail quotes a source as saying.
"They fear it will be seen as an admission that something indeed took place between Justin and the woman who is alleging that he's the father of her baby."
