A representative for R & B star Ne-Yo has confirmed that he is expecting his second child with partner Monyetta Shaw.
The couple had their first child together, called Madilyn Grace, last November and it is believed that Monyetta’s due date is in October.
Ne-Yo, real name Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr., who has had two chart-topping albums in the US was ecstatic when Madilyn was born last year.
At the time, the Sexy Love singer said: “She's healthy and happy. Feels like I'm in love for the first time.
“Welcoming that lil' girl to the world last night defined for me what 'willing to kill and die for' truly means. My world, my life, all hers.”
The singer also founded a charity called The Compound Foundation, for children who are in foster care. He said: “Every Mother’s Day we select five foster mothers that are going above and beyond, and we make the whole day about them.
“Either I’ll perform or I’ll get one of my friends to perform and it’s just a whole day dedicated to those foster mothers, giving them the opportunity to just take a break and be appreciated.
“We’ve gone to visit the families, we do a camp every year. An entrepreneurial camp. Just making sure these kids get those opportunities.”
