It is reported that separated stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette are developing a new comedy series "that sounds a lot like Friends: The Next Generation".
TVLine, which broke the story, has been told by sources that the series "explores the ups and downs of relationships across a group of friends, spanning 10 years".
Cox and Arquette's production company, Coquette Productions, will reportedly start pitching the series, tentatively titled 10 Years, to networks shortly.
TVLine says that Cox would only work on the new show in a "behind-the-scenes capacity", but that Arquette could work as producer and play one of the lead roles.
There is speculation that two of the characters are "loosely" inspired by Cox and Arquette.
