Actor Kiefer Sutherland is, according to reports, considering a return to primetime television. Deadline claims that the '24' star is currently in negotiations to take a role in 'Touch', a new pilot from 'Heroes' creator Tim Kring.
The show features a father (Sutherland, if he signs on) who discovers that his mute, autistic son can predict things before they happen.
Sutherland is currently starring on Broadway in a revival of Jason Miller's 'That Championship Season,' which is holding the deal up. The play opened last week and marks Sutherland's Broadway debut.
Since the series finale of '24' last year, little to nothing has been publicly announced regarding Jack Bauer’s move from hour-by-hour televised thrills to a more condensed theatrical mission. If Kiefer ties himself into a new TV role, all hopes for the movie that millions of Jack Bauer fans have been waiting for, may, like the man himself, disappear all together!
