TV presenter Graham Norton broke a number of ribs on Sunday night shortly after he presented the BAFTA TV awards.
Shortly after the ceremony Norton had a fall in his home. The 46-year-old told The Mirror "I got home and fell down my stairs and broke two ribs."
The injury has meant he has had to pull out of his role in the West End hit 'La Cage Aux Folles'.
He continued "I’ve been to the hospital and been given horse tranquillising pain-killing medication. There’s nothing they can do about broken ribs."
Norton is due to travel to Russia next month as he will present the Eurovision Song Contest for the BBC on May 16.
Norton said: "When I opened my pain medication today it said to avoid alcoholic beverages for four to six weeks. So I’m going to be sober in Moscow."
