Shock rocker Marilyn Manson has taken a new film role, as the Queen of Hearts in a re-make of 'Alice in Wonderland'.
According to MTV.com, the film is called 'Living In Neon Dreams' and also stars Alan Cumming (as the King of Hearts), Nia Vardalos, Daryl Hannah, Tim Roth and Jonathan Pryce.
"I'm not just playing a drag queen, I'm playing a woman," Manson told MTV. "There's a big difference, and there's more work to do on that."
"So I'm studying early Joan Crawford, and I've been kind of watching the lady at home, picking up some characteristics. She can teach me how to put my stockings on straight, though I think I've already mastered that."
'Living In Neon Dreams' is due to start shooting in November in Germany and South Africa.
Manson's latest film, a low-budget adaptation of JT LeRoy's book 'The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things' is currently making the rounds of the film festival circuit.
