Danny Boyle will be present for an exclusive preview screening of his new film, '28 Days Later' at the Irish Film Centre this weekend.
The 'Trainspotting' director will also take part in a questions and answers session after the preview.
Starring Irish actors Cillian Murphy and Brendan Gleeson, '28 Days Later' is the opening film at the annual Horrorthon Festival at the IFC.
Over 18 titles, including an exclusive preview of 'Bundy', the critically acclaimed look at the serial killer Ted Bundy, and 'Happiness of the Katakuris' (from the director of 'Audition'), a kitsch cannibal movie with musical numbers, will be screened over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The festival will also feature a new Irish film, Geraldine Creed’s 'Chaos'. The director will be present following the screening to discuss her work.
'Dark Waters', the new film from the director of 'Ring, will also be screened, along with John Carpenter's 'The Fog', Joel Schumacher’s 'The Lost Boys' and 'Witchfinder General', considered one of the finest British horrors of all time.
The festival, described as "a weekend of horror", takes place from 25-28 October at the Irish Film Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin.
'28 Days Later' will be released in Ireland on Friday 1 November.
