This week in Carraigstown, Dermot accuses Jo of going back to her old bossy ways, while Wayne asks Orla if she can take him on full time in McCoy's.
Caoimhe warns Callum to stay away from Paddy. But Callum ignores her advice and tells her not to mention what happened to Paul. Charlotte worries when she hears that Paddy has put manners on Callum. Paul is concerned for Callum, suspecting that something is up. He asks Callum to meet him for a drink later. Later that day, Esther has her hands full in the community centre and leaves her bag down behind the counter.
Elsewhere, Jo makes up her mind to tell Ben about her and Dermot, promising a surprise that evening. Esther remarks that she thinks a new woman in Dermot’s life is behind his good mood. Orla warns Jo not to go against Dermot’s wishes in outing their relationship. Dermot is furious when he finds out about Jo’s plan to tell Ben. Jo has to back pedal furiously and pretends Ben’s surprise is a trip to the zoo.
Meanwhile, Dermot accuses Jo of going back to her old bossy ways, when she turns up with a costume for him for a party he wasn’t aware of. He refuses to go with her to the party. Jo speculates with Orla as to why Dermot doesn’t want to go public with their relationship. She starts to think that Dermot may want to end things with her. Dermot notices Jo in the park; he turns away before she sees him. Dermot confides his worry that he and Jo will slip into their old ways to Orla. Orla tells him to man up and be romantic, and to let Jo know that he wants to be with her.
Later in the week, Wayne asks Orla if she can take him on full time in McCoy's. Dolores overhears and asks if his ‘big fancy job’ fell through. Wayne tries to explain about Paul’s dud reference, but Dolores ignores him and serves Orla over him. Val irritates Dolores by practising Spanish in the shop. Esther distracts Dolores with the story of Dermot dressed as Richard Gere. Pete takes Dolores and Val for a drink to McCoy's after work. Wayne approaches and offers his wages to Dolores. Dolores tells him to leave her alone, that she doesn’t care what he does with his money.
