The Rock plans political career

The former professional wrestler turned Hollywood star told the website Moviefone that his political ambitions could go all the way to the White House.
"Right now the best way that I can impact the world is through entertainment. One day, and that day will come, I can impact the world through politics," said Johnson who is currently promoting his latest film, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. "The great news is that I am American, therefore I can become President."
Ever since Ronald Reagan made it to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in the 1980s, Hollywood's finest has increasingly looked to politics as possible careers - or diversions. Clint Eastwood and Arnold Schwarzenegger have both held office and recently Roseanne Barr and Alec Baldwin have revealed their political ambitions. In the case of a former grappler like Johnson there is also a precedent with one-time pro wrestler, Jesse Ventura, serving as the governor of Minnesota.
