Mitch Winehouse slams Gaultier show
Friday 27 January 2012The former taxi driver, 60, took to Twitter to denounce the show by simply stating that the show was in "bad taste" and revoked support for it.
Elaborating his point to The Sun, he stated "The family were upset to see those pictures, they were a total shock".
"We're still grieving for her loss, and we've had a difficult week with the six month anniversary of Amy's death. To see her image lifted wholesale to sell clothes was a wrench we were not expecting or consulted on."

Amy polarised opinions with her dress sense and style throughout her career and became an unlikely style icon with her signature beehive, ballet bumps and cocktail dresses.
The singer collaborated on a number of collections with Fred Perry. Her final collection with the label was released post-humously last Autumn.
The Gaultier couture show saw models walk down the catwalk in beehives of different colours, with beauty spots and excessive, winged eyeliner. Pencil skirts, cocktail dresses and lingerie as outwerwear were key looks through the collection.

Mitch insisted the family are "proud of her influence on fashion" but stated they find "black veils on models, smoking cigarettes with a barbershop quartet singing her music in bad taste," he added.
"It portrays a view of Amy when she was not at her best and glamorises some of the more upsetting times in her life. That's upsetting for her family."
The singer died tragically in her Camden home on July 23rd of last year.
