The RTÉ Guide's Suzanne Byrne gets the lowdown on the Dillons who have joined mother, Dr Judith, in Carrickstown.

The Dillons

Tommy Dillon - Geoff Minogue

Where have the Dillon clan been until now?

They have been living in Kilkenny, but a property deal fell through for Tommy and Judith found an opportunity to open a practice in Carrigstown. She moved up before the rest of the family to find a home and start the business while Tommy was looking after the rest of the family, selling their farm and preparing them for the move.

Is Tommy a house husband?

I wouldn't say Tommy is very domesticated - but he is willing to give anything a try! He is itching to get back to work and is willing to give most things ago. He would be happy if he could find something that related back to agriculture.

What kind of father is he?

Tommy is very protective of his children and will do anything to ensure they are OK. While I wouldn't say he is a compete pushover - his children do find him very easy to win over - but he does have an end point.

Neasa Dillon - Aoibhín Garrighy

Now that Neasa is moving to Carrigstown permanently is anything more going to happen between her and Damien?

I don't think so! For her it was a bit a fun, she was lonely and broke at the time and he made her feel better about herself. She's really cool about the situation even when she finds out that Damien has a wife. I think it's a bit trickier for him, especially with everything he is going through at the moment.

She gets caught up in Zumo and Bob's feud this week - what can you tell us about that?

Well she ends up having too much to drink at a hen party in McCoy's and the next day she can't really remember what happened. Zumo tries to convince her that Bob attacked her and while there are signs that something might have happened, she really isn't convinced... but things just snowball.

Caoimhe Dillon - Aoibheann McCaul

What can you tell us about Caoimhe?

Well she has already been living in Dublin for the past two years, so she is finding it tough having to move back in with her family. She was in college but we will soon find out that she has dropped out and that is going to lead to whole lot of conflict, especially with her mum.

How does Caoimhe get on with her siblings?

Caoimhe is the type of girl who isn't afraid to speak her mind and tell it exactly how it is. Sometimes her sisters just think she is being a bit rude or moany, but she actually thinks it is better just to tell the truth in the long term. She has a good heart and just wants to be honest.

Who do you think Caoimhe will be friends with?

I think she and Robert would make great friends. I think she would really get where he is coming from and I could see the two of them getting on really well.

Dearbhla Dillon - Kerrie O'Sullivan

What can you tell us about Dearbhla?

Dearbhla is a 17-year-old student, who is quite good when it come to her school work. She gets on great with her dad and I really think she is his little pet. She looks up to he older sisters but when it comes to her little brother she gets great fun out of embarrassing him!

How did Dearbhla feel about having to move from Kilkenny to Dublin?

She really wasn't impressed at all. She had to leave her friends and school behind, but I think she is learning to accept it and once she makes some new friends I think she will be alright - although I don't know who they are going to be yet!

Zac Dillon - Kevin Joyce

What can you tell us about Zac?

Well, Zac is the youngest of the family and I think he gets on really well with everyone, especially his dad. He likes his sisters, but sometimes Dearbhla can be annoying, especially when she is trying to make fun or embarrass him.

Being from Dublin in real life, do you mind having to wear a Kilkenny jersey in Fair City?

Yes! I really do - if I had it my way Zac wouldn't wear any jerseys at all. I try and wear my Dublin jersey as much as possible to and from working on Fair City, just to make sure everyone knows who I really support.
