TG4's autumn schedule launched
Thursday 2 September 2010Award-winning Irish actor Brendan Gleeson narrates '1916 Seachtar na Cásca', a seven-part drama-documentary telling the stories of each of the seven signatories of the 1916 Easter Proclamation.
'Dáithí ar Route 1' finds Dáithí Ó Sé travelling south along the east coast of America to Florida and visiting author Stephen King's home, singing with the Naked Cowboy and learning routines from the Miami Dolphins' Cheerleaders.
Hector Ó hEochagáin travels across eight of Canada's provinces in 'Hector i gCeanada', meeting locals and hearing their stories along the way.
'Making a Difference' tells the stories of important figures in recent Irish history, 'An Píopa' is an in-depth study of the divisive Corrib Gas Field project, while 'Cogar' will continue to present documentaries on different aspects of Irish life.
The hit US series 'True Blood' will continue on TG4, as will the station's commitment to the best in cinema.
The International Rules Football tests between Ireland and Australia will be screened live and 'GAA Beo' will continue to show exclusive live TV coverage of Gaelic games every weekend.
Along with live Magners League Rugby, TG4 will also screen a major new sports documentary series, 'Gualainn le Gualainn', which will look at the history of Irish rugby.
