Adventure of a lifetime on RTÉ Radio

In 'Don't Go Far... Your dinner's ready' we hear the story of two Dublin boys, aged 10 and 13, who decide to go for a ride on the Dart and end up travelling a few thousand miles.
The story takes place in August 1985, with friends Keith and Noel taking a Dart to Dun Laoghaire.
There, they manage to sneak onto a boat, before bunking onto a train to London and availing of the kindness of a stranger for a meal.
Then they take a tube to Heathrow, where they are hoping to catch a flight back to Dublin, but instead they decide to hop on a plane bound for New York.
They begin to think that somebody is going to stop them at any minute but nobody does.
Find out where their adventure ends on the 'Documentary on One' tonight at 6pm on RTÉ Radio 1.
