Sometimes sweet, sometimes sad, sometimes a little spooky

It's testament to Long's gifts as a songwriter that even though her most famous five minutes, 'Happy Thoughts' (used on the TV ad with the kid coming home in the rain), feature on 'Caterpillar Sarabande', the album is so strong that it could get by just as nicely without them.

Here you find someone working to create their own kind of hush - sometimes sweet, sometimes sad, sometimes a little spooky - and giving you lots of reasons to have a duvet day.

The pace is relaxed but it's nicely offset by the great tag-team groove of cello and drums on 'Tactless Questions' and 'Freakscene' and the pounding 'Bad Move' - a track that bodes well for future rockouts.
