Waterman/Cassidy row over weight

Former 'Eastenders' stars Hannah Waterman and Natalie Cassidy have become embroiled in a media row over Cassidy's comments about Waterman's weight loss and her marriage break-up.

Speaking in Closer magazine, Waterman hit back at comments made last week by Cassidy in which she said "Hannah has gone too far with her weight loss. She looks too skinny." She also remarked of her marriage break-up "It's a shame she and Ricky split. I don't know the ins and outs, but I've read that Hannah dumped Ricky on New Year's Eve. When you hear that, you can't help but say it's out of order. I'm Team Groves."

Waterman has responded by saying Cassidy had no right to comment on her life saying "I wish Natalie would stay out of my relationship and weight issues, and concentrate on her own."

She added "I'd never comment on another woman's size, but I think people can see for themselves who looks healthy. I don't think anyone could look at the pictures of me when I was fat in that bikini and think I was at a healthy weight.

"My own doctor said she was worried about me at the time because, at 10st 4lbs and 5ft 2, I was risking my long-term health. I'm much healthier now at 7st 8lbs - well within the healthy range of BMI recommended by the government - and I feel much better about myself."
