Sutherland wears dress on Letterman show

Digital Spy reports the actor appeared on the show wearing army boots and a green dress.

When quizzed by David Letterman he said "I lost a bet over the weekend, I was so sure New England was going to win that I told a guy who used to be my friend that if they lost I would wear a dress on Letterman."
"The guy I made the bet with, this is the end of our friendship, the end of the debt that I had for the bet. This is it!"
The host offered $1,000 to Sutherland if he rode on the subway wearing the dress to which he responded "Riding the subway would be easier than what I am going through right now. This is the most humiliating moment of my life!"
