1 of 1 A stronger collection
A stronger collection

Music fans whose attitude to songs is that there's no such thing as too sad could find that Furlong's second album tugs all the parts that need tugging.

Made at home with just harmonica player John Ferguson for company on one track, 'Playing with Fire' epitomises the DIY spirit and is a stronger collection than Furlong's 2008 album 'Eternal'. The feeling remains, however, that he is limiting himself by going it alone so much and that collaborating with others would make his talents shine even brighter.

There is huge potential in his sound for a Massive Attack-style meeting of minds and as impressive as 'Wrong' and 'Enough' are, bigger and brighter could come from sharing out the matches.
