The entrepreneur put the contacts she made on the show to good use and has reportedly landed a top job with a promotions company.

She revealed to the Evening Hearld how she has received mail from members of the public who have been inspired by her determination to make it.

"I've received mail that I've cried reading. People have told me that I have inspired them, that they love me. It's mind-blowing and completely humbling."

She has also hit out at critics who brought her family's private life into the public domain.

"I don't think that anything in relation to my family has a bearing on me as a business person," she said. "I come from an amazing family unit, I'm blessed to have them."

Geraldine, who was jobless before she took her place in the competition to become Bill Cullen's €100,000 employee, has since been inundated with job offers.

"I was unemployed before I went on the show, but I think that I was in there long enough to show my talents," she said.

"I contacted Brightwater Recruitment after leaving and the number of job offers I got was amazing.

"I'm working with hands-on promotion with Think and Blink, organising a roadshow around the country. I've always wanted to work in event management.

"I see myself organising major concerts in the future."

Geraldine (26) came head to head with fellow contestant Aoiffe Madden on the TV3 programme and was also one half of the first romantic relationship in the house, with Breffny Morgan.

Next week, the former rivals will meet for the final challenge, supporting Steve Rayner and Stephen Higgins.

"We were on totally different teams, so we didn't get to see each other," Geraldine said about Aoiffe. "We haven't met up since we left the house, but, yes, I was on a date with Breffny."

However Geraldine says that she is not in a relationship.

"I'm single, but I'm working 60 hours a week, so I don't think I'd have time for anyone," she said.
