Evans to join BBC's 'The One Show'

The 43-year-old star will fill in for regular host Adrian Chiles when he takes holidays, the BBC said.
Evans has been contracted to fill in for Chiles since last year, but Evans's move to mornings to replace Sir Terry Wogan at the helm of BBC Radio 2's Breakfast Show will free him up to be able to stand in.
A BBC spokesman said: 'In 2008 Chris Evans was contracted to fill in for Adrian when he was on holiday - his move to host the Radio 2 Breakfast Show rather than Drivetime means he will now be able to fulfil that commitment.'
The former 'TFI Friday' host, whose more recent ITV show 'OFI Sunday' was short-lived, recently told the December issue of 'The Word' magazine: 'People ask me if I want to go back to TV and I'm not sure it's there to go back to.
'TV is just an invention, and all inventions eventually become obsolete. Why don't we hold our hands up and go 'TV's not happening any more?'.'
