Bleakley admits she's dating Lampard
Thursday 19 November 2009The pair have been seen out for the first time as an official item on Monday and enjoyed a romantic day together as they lunched at London's Hollywood Arms pub and then retired to Lampard's London townhouse.
The Northern Ireland native, 30, who presents the BBC' show alongside Adrian Chiles, stated over the weekend that she and Lampard had become an item.
The Daily Mail reports that she admits that the reason for all the secrecy was that their relationship was still only a fledgling romance.
"Well, when you start seeing someone and it's early days, you need to get to know them a bit before you come out and say you're dating" she said.
There had been lots of rumours in recent weeks but the pair decided to announce their relationship over the weekend.
It seems that the pair have been seeing each other in secret since the beginning of October.
A friend of Miss Bleakley said that "they have been out with friends a number of times over the last few weeks".
Bleakley broke up with fiancé Mark Beirne, 35, in January. While 31-year-old Lampard split up last year with Spanish fiancée Elen Rives, 34, with whom he has two daughters, four-year-old Luna and Isla, two.
