Walsh hits back at twins' critics

The Mayoman is mentoring the Dublin duo, who have stunned judges and media commentators by staying in the show and then topping the poll on Saturday.
Walsh has strongly defended his act against his fellow judges on the live show and he has now decided to counter-attack with some stinging remarks of his own.
He told the Daily Mail: "Pop music is not just about singing - Kylie, Robbie Williams, neither of them can sing. And at least the twins are singing live, unlike some of the people at the top of the charts at the moment."
Walsh's remarks will be interpreted as being directed at Cheryl Cole, who did not sing live on the show when she performed her new single, top selling 'Fight For This Love', earlier in the series. Kylie Minogue's sister Dannii is also a judge on the show.
According to Walsh, Simon Cowell is terrified the twins will go on to win the show, which has launched the careers of album shifting divas Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke in its last two series.
He said: "Simon is desperately worried that the twins are going to win. He's really unhappy, but there is nothing he can do because this is who people are voting for. I thought they were going to be popular, but I never expected this."
John and Edward have been besieged by fans this week and have shot up in the betting for the competition on the back of their colourful and energetic performances so far.
