Williams follows in U2's footsteps

According to the Press Association, the 35-year-old star, who already holds the record for winning more Brits (11) than any other artist, will pick up his new gong on 16 February.
U2 were honoured with the accolade in 2001 and in 2010 the spotlight will be on Williams, who has amassed more than 55 million album sales worldwide.
Organisers said the 'Bodies' singer will close the show with a "sensational" live performance at London's Earls Court, as millions of viewers also watch live on TV.
Ged Doherty, chairman of the Brits Committee, said: "Robbie is one of the outstanding artists and performers of his generation.
"It will be an absolute thrill to have him at the Brits 30th anniversary show receiving the outstanding contribution award. We are delighted."
Other previous recipients of the outstanding contribution award include Pet Shop Boys, Paul McCartney and Oasis.
