Irish stars making At Swim-Two-Birds

After years of planning, it has been announced that Gabriel Byrne, Colin Farrell and Cillian Murphy will star in actor-director Brendan Gleeson's film of Flann O'Brien's classic book 'At Swim-Two-Birds'.

Variety reports that Irish production company Parallel Pictures is making the long-awaited film, which has a budget of $11m.

Gleeson will make his directorial debut with the film and adapted O'Brien's book for the screen.

He will also co-star in the film.

Flann O'Brien was the pseudonymn of civil servant Brian O'Nolan (1911-1966), who also wrote under name the Myles na Gopaleen for the Irish Times.

Hosted by Vernon Kay, both celebrities and their families go head to head for the big money, and the chance to win up to a five-figure sum for the charity of their choice.

    Plenty of high drama at Holby General's A&E department as Zoe tries to convince Sam to sit down and talk to Keith Parr before he brings an action against Sam and the hospital. A troubled woman is brought into the ED after being hit by a lorry and Lloyd is quick to jump to conclusions about the driver. Meanwhile Linda has a chance to examine her feelings when Lenny tackles her about putting her niece and nephew into care.
