Court will not delay Brown hearing

He is accused of assaulting his former girlfriend, the singer Rihanna.
Brown's attorney Mark Geragos had sought the delay until the California Supreme Court ruled on his attempt to get information from the police.
The lawyer wanted details of a police investigation into the leaking of a photo of Rihanna following the alleged assault.
Reuters reports that a lower court ruled yesterday that it was too soon to seek information about the leak and the Supreme Court upheld that ruling.
The hearing will now go ahead on Monday.
Brown is accused of assaulting Rihanna "by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury" and threatening to commit a crime "which would result in death and great bodily injury".
He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
