Jolie to play Kay Scarpetta

Variety reports that Jolie and the film's producers are meeting with screenwriters and will hire one shortly.
A deal was agreed for the film rights to Cornwell's books after Jolie and her manager Geyer Kosinski met the author and were in agreement on the direction of the big screen adaptation.
Cornwell has written 16 Scarpetta books, but the film will not be linked to a specific title.
