'Godfather' is named favourite in poll

Two Martin Scorsese films ended up in the film-makers' Top 10 in the poll, which was conducted by Empire Magazine - Raging Bull, which finished second and 'Taxi Driver', which is in fifth.
The 1952 classic 'Singin' In The Rain' was third, while, according to PA, the film-makers' list also found room for the 1966 Russian film 'Andrei Rublev', which is in tenth.
Cinema goers were also surveyed by Empire and in a combined poll with critics and film-makers, they also voted for 'The Godfather' as their number one.
But the combined poll has 80s classics 'Raiders Of The Lost Ark', the second Indiana Jones film, and 'The Empire Strikes Back', the second of the original Star Wars trilogy, in second and third. In the popular poll, critics' bugbear 'The Shawshank Redemption' is in fourth.
No film from this century appears on either list.
