Winehouse accused of hitting man in pub
Wednesday 9 July 2008According to The Mirror, Winehouse is alleged to have hit 29-year-old Wayne Lindsay in the face while he was drinking with friends at the Dublin Castle pub in Camden, north London.
Lindsay is quoted in the newspaper as saying: "She was in front of me at the bar and suddenly turned and walloped me three times across the face. It really stung.
"I couldn't believe it. I hadn't said a word to her or touched her. I was just drinking a pint with my friends... She was wild. She just flipped. It was as if she had voices in her head."
The 'Rehab' singer is reported to have been drinking tequila shots with friends in the pub when the incident occurred.
Lindsay added: "Amy stormed out immediately afterwards. I was really angry she thought she could get away with it. But I let it go.
"I'm not an aggressive person. Amy was in no fit state to put up a fight. She looked out of it."
It is the third alleged incident involving Winehouse during recent weeks.
At Glastonbury two weeks ago she appeared to be seen on television to punch a fan in the front row after someone apparently groped her.
Winehouse is due to perform at the Oxegen festival this Saturday.
