Snow Patrol begin work on new album

The band are currently working on the album in Grouse Lodge Studios, just outside the midlands town of Moate.
They had previously spent some time writing and rehearsing the new material in a lake-side house in Co Galway.
Posting on the band's official website, singer Gary Lightbody wrote that their Galway retreat was full of "bats and frogs".
He said: "We've now moved away from the bats and frogs to right bang in the geographical centre of the island of Ireland to start the album. The first week is behind us and things are going great. Some loveliness is happening and it's very exciting to hear songs I've been demoing over the last year or more spring to noise covered life."
There is no release date yet for the follow-up to 2006's huge-selling 'Eyes Open', which sold 4.7m copies worldwide. In total, the band have sold in excess of 7m albums worldwide.
