Madonna adoption hearing put back

Madonna asked for the hearing, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 22 April, to be delayed because of business commitments in the US.
An official told Reuters, on condition of anonymity, "I believe May 15 should be the final date for the hearing unless her lawyers ask for another date and put up reasonable arguments for that."
The government of Malawi has already recommended that Madonna be allowed to adopt the two-year-old, David Banda, who she met in an orphanage in 2006.
Madonna began to make arrangements to adopt soon after she met the child, and he has been living with her and husband Guy Ritchie in London since then.
