Spears ordered to undergo drug testing
Wednesday 19 September 2007Court papers posted on celebrity website TMZ.com featured details of the latest hearing in the custody battle between Spears and her ex husband Kevin Federline for their sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
The ruling, by Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, said: "Based on the evidence presented, the court finds that there is habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol by the petitioner."
Federline had asked for increased custody of the two children but the court commissioner ruled that the 50/50 arrangement should remain in place.
Spears was ordered to undergo testing for drugs and alcohol twice per week on random dates and times.
She must also agree to meet with a counsellor at least once a week to discuss parenting issues and work with a parenting coach to resolve these issues.
The court commissioner ordered both Spears and Federline to complete a "parenting without conflict" programme and to stop making derogatory comments about each other.
