New music event to be staged in Kilmainham

The event, which will feature performances from The Pet Shop Boys, Groove Armada, The Frames, Jose Gonzalez, Duke Special, Dizzee Rascal and Kila, aims to re-establish the connection between music and art.
Some Days Never End, which will take place in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, the home of the Irish Museum of Modern Art, will also pay tribute to Andy Warhol's Silver Factory, to mark the 20th anniversary of the artist's death.
The Factory is best known as a hip New York City hangout for the Warhol set with creative artists, musicians and performers such as Lou Reed, John Cale, Bob Dylan, Truman Capote, Susan Sontag and Dennis Hoppper passing through its doors.
Some Days Never End will feature key works from this hugely influential period, including iconic films such as 'Eat and Sleep', which will be specially chosen by the Model Arts and Niland Gallery, who are also presenting a wider exhibition of works from this period entitled 'The Eternal Now' (running 06 October -22 December).

Tuesday 30th October: Buena Vista Social Club Presents: Guajiro Mirabel, Cach Cachaíto López, Manuel Galbán, Aguaje Ramos + Kila
Wednesday 31st October: The Frames + John Cale Acoustimatic Band
Some Days Never End is presented by POD concerts in collaboration with The Model Arts and Niland Gallery and IMMA and supported by The Andy Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh.
