Madonna to be assessed for adoption

Penstone Kilembe was originally refused permission to travel to Britain by Kate Kainja, the Malawian minister of women and child development.
He had warned blocking his visit could have jeopardised Madonna's attempt to adopt David Banda.
The inspection will now go ahead for two weeks in September. Kilembe said that she was "looking forward to this so that her adoption process is not hampered."
The Malawian High Court will rely on his testimony in ruling whether Madonna should adopt the child in a hearing next year.
Last October, the singer was granted an 18-month interim custody order enabling her to take David Banda to Britain.
The adoption will receive final approval after the country's authorities are satisfied that the child is being properly looked after.
