Lunch Boxes by Jennifer Joyce

There's a new chill in the air and the greys, browns, navys and maroons of school uniforms fill the shops as the summer winds to a close and children prepare to return to school. If you, like many other parents, are tearing your hair out at the thoughts of another year of trying to fill an array of lunch boxes then this might be a good time to pick up a copy of Jennifer Joyce's 'Lunch Boxes'.
With over 100 simple ideas for kids (and, perhaps, adults), this is a useful guide for those moments when inspiration is needed. With just five minutes and a handful of ingredients, it's easy to make any one of the recipes for sandwiches, wraps, rolls, snacks, dips and salads. There is a chapter on lunchbox-friendly dishes to cook ahead (Ham, Pea and Potato Pie, Parmesan Chicken Pieces, Pasta and Bean Soup) and another with recipes for homemade sweets and treats (Brownies with White Chocolate Chunks, Caramel Popcorn Balls).
Straightforward health information, shopping list tips and lunch plans make this colourful paperback a must-have for September.
