Timberlake and Beyoncé lead MTV nominations
Wednesday 8 August 2007Both singers have been nominated in seven categories.
Timberlake is nominated for Video of the Year ('What Goes Around...Comes Around'), Male Artist of the Year, Most Earthshattering Collaboration ('SexyBack' with Timbaland) and Quadruple Threat of the Year.
The people behind Timberlake's 'What Goes Around...Comes Around' and 'My Love' videos have been nominated in the Best Director, Editing and Choreography categories.
Beyoncé is nominated for Video of the Year ('Irreplaceable'), Female Artist of the Year, Earthshattering Collaboration ('Beautiful Liar' with Shakira) and Quadruple Threat of the Year.
Beyoncé's 'Beautiful Liar' video is nominated in the Best Director, Editing and Choreography categories.
Kanye West and Rihanna are nominated in four categories while Amy Winehouse is nominated in three.
U2 are nominated for Most Earthshattering Collaboration for 'The Saints Are Coming' with Green Day.
The awards take place in Las Vegas on 9 September.
