Washington joins Ryan in Bionic Woman

Reuters reports that Washington has been cast as a guest star in five episodes of the NBC series.
Washington was sacked from the hit medical drama series 'Grey's Anatomy' by NBC's rival ABC after he twice used an anti-gay slur.
'The Bionic Woman' tells the story of Jaime Sommers (Ryan), a young car crash victim who is rebuilt with technology that gives her extraordinary powers.
Washington's character is described as a "mysterious figure" who is enlisted by the organisation behind the bionic technology and whose motives are unclear.
The actor has also inked a development deal with NBC for an action series, which is based on an idea by Washington himself.
Commenting on Washington's deal with NBC, the network's Chief Programmer and Co-Chairman of Entertainment, Ben Silverman, said: "He's a wonderful actor and a great performer, and he became available."
Silverman's colleague, Co-Chairman Marc Graboff, said that Washington had been given "a second chance" with 'The Bionic Woman' and had "learned his lessons about the way he acts around his fellow actors and the public".
"He knows he came this close to losing his career," Graboff added.
